Description
The purpose of the Turbosmart Upgraded Wastegate Actuators is to provide your factory-frame turbocharger with the best boost response possible. The enhanced actuators of the Turbosmart IWG75 Series have a higher “Working Ratio” than the original machinery, which enhances boost response over the whole RPM range. This enhanced “working ratio” is made possible by increasing the diaphragm’s effective surface area and making adjustments to the springs that are actually installed. This allows the actuator to operate against forces like boost and backpressure with more leverage while maintaining its exceptional responsiveness. You should anticipate a wider boost and torque curve when upgrading with the factory base pressure since peak boost is reached sooner in the RPM range and is maintained for a longer period of time at higher RPMs. These improvements can be amplified with higher base pressures, however, tuning & recalibration are likely required.
Notes
14 psi Version is a direct replacement for the factory item. All other versions will require tuning/calibration of your engine’s ECU.
This is a bolt-on fitment for the TD05H turbocharger as a fitted factory to the 46G3 Powered Mitsubishi Evolution 4-8.
