Description
170% Increase in Holding Capacity – RACE/STREET
The FX400 System features the Power Plus I high-leverage, heavy-duty pressure plate paired with a custom, ultra-durable sprung ceramic friction disc. Designed for extreme-duty street use as well as road and drag racing, this system delivers exceptional holding power and durability under high-torque conditions. It is available in either a 6-puck or 8-puck ceramic configuration, with the 6-puck offering a more aggressive engagement and the 8-puck providing a slightly smoother feel. The sprung hub design provides moderate torsional dampening, making the FX400 significantly more street-friendly than solid or rigid hub designs. This disc is engineered for long service life, outstanding torque capacity, and efficient heat dissipation.
The FX400/HDCL (8-puck) ceramic full-face disc delivers fast, positive engagement while minimizing chatter through the use of a marcel cushion between the friction linings. This configuration is well suited for street-driven vehicles seeking strong performance with improved drivability. The FX400/HDC6 (6-puck) ceramic paddle disc offers extremely quick engagement and maximum holding capacity, but may produce clutch chatter that is less desirable for daily street use. Warning: Due to its solid (non-marcel) riveted friction design, the FX400 6-puck engages very aggressively and may exhibit slight chatter in first and reverse gears. To help reduce this effect, only premium ceramic friction materials are used.
