The COBB Turbo Blanket is a purpose-built accessory designed to effectively manage heat in your turbocharger system. It serves two main functions: limiting the transfer of heat from the turbocharger to the engine bay and promoting faster exhaust gas flow. By reducing the amount of heat that is transferred, the COBB Turbo Blanket helps to protect your underhood components and extend their lifespan. Additionally, it assists in lowering intake temperatures, which can have a positive impact on engine performance. With less heat radiating into the engine bay, the overall response of your car can be improved. The construction of the COBB Turbo Blanket features a fragmentized fire-retardant volcanic rock outer layer, which is rated to withstand direct heat up to 1500°F and radiant heat up to 1800°F. Internally, it is insulated with high-temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool, which is rated for direct heat up to 1800°F and can handle peak heat levels of 2300°F. By effectively managing heat and promoting better exhaust gas flow, the COBB Turbo Blanket contributes to improved performance, enhanced durability, and a more efficient overall operation of your turbocharged vehicle.
