The FX400 System boasts a formidable combination of the Power Plus I, Hi-Levarage, Heavy-Duty Pressure Plate, and a custom Sprung Ceramic disc renowned for its exceptional durability. This system is the epitome of extreme duty, suitable for high-performance street driving, road racing, and drag racing applications. It offers two options: a 6-puck configuration for a more aggressive setup and an 8-puck configuration for slightly less aggressive performance. With its sprung hub design, the FX400 System provides moderate dampening in high-torque scenarios, making it remarkably street-friendly compared to solid or rigid designs. The disc itself is meticulously crafted for longevity, boasting outstanding holding capacity and rapid heat dissipation. The FX400/HDCL (8-puck) features a ceramic full-face disc design, ensuring swift and seamless engagement while minimizing chatter, thanks to the marcel cushion placed between the disc linings. This particular configuration is primarily intended for street-driven vehicles.
On the other hand, the FX400/HDC6 (6-puck) showcases a ceramic paddle design that offers quick and rapid engagement. However, due to the absence of a Marcel cushion, it may exhibit some clutch chatter, making it less ideal for street-driven vehicles. It’s important to note that the solid friction rivet design of the FX400 6-puck results in rapid engagement, potentially causing slight chatter in first and reverse gears. To mitigate this issue, premium ceramic friction material is utilized.
