Description
HKS metal head gaskets are designed to withstand extreme heat produced by high-boost and high-horsepower applications. To ensure outstanding sealing, every HKS head gasket is made of many layers of steel and covered in a unique fluorine rubber. Standard and some larger cylinder bores are supported by HKS head gaskets. Different gasket thicknesses can be used in most applications to adjust the dynamic compression ratio for different engine circumstances and tuning levels. (Note: Head or block imperfections do not produce sealing problems that HKS gaskets are intended to solve.)
The HKS Stopper-Type gasket uses a molded stopper ring around each combustion chamber entrance and has as many layers of plates as is practical. To guarantee an exact seal, the HKS Bead-Type gasket has a raised bead structure surrounding each combustion chamber. Utilizing a metal grommet around every combustion chamber, the HKS Grommet-Type Gasket guarantees a superior seal between the engine block and the cylinder head.
